Ukraine's official hryvnia continues weakening, set at UAH 24.82 to U.S. dollar on March 3

The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 27.61 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on March 2 set the official forex rate for Tuesday, March 3, at UAH 24.82 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency weaken by 23 kopiykas.

The hryvnia became weaker after it had lost three kopiykas in value against U.S. dollar on Monday, March 2, according to the NBU website.

The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 27.61 per euro – the hryvnia lost 63 kopiykas in value since Monday.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ukrainian hryvnia in January 2020 weakened by 5.7% against the U.S. dollar, to UAH 25.03 per U.S. dollar and by 4.7% against the euro, to UAH 27.66 per euro.

In 2019, Ukraine's national currency strengthened by 14.5% against the U.S. dollar, to UAH 23.69 and by 16.7% against the euro, to UAH 26.42.

The hryvnia's historical low against the U.S. dollar was registered at UAH 30.01 in February 2015.
