!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UAA1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gazprom considers it inappropriate to disclose the pricing formula of gas supplies to China via the Western Route, said general director of OOO Gazprom Export Elena Burmistrova during the conference.

"Perhaps it would be inappropriate to answer the question today, since the commercial negotiations regarding the Western Route have entered an active phase, and this [price of gas] is a commercial secret," Burmistrova said.

"I would prefer not to comment on the pricing, because the contract has not been signed and intensive negotiations are under way. With regard to the calculation formula, it may consist of a basket of currencies, it could be any, but the issue of price setting is to be determined when reaching the signing stage," the Gazprom Export CEO added.

On May 8, Russian Gazprom and Chinese state-owned oil and gas corporation CNPC signed an agreement on basic conditions of natural gas supplies from Russia to China via the Western Route. It envisages carrying out of gas supplies to China from fields in Western Siberia of an amount of 30 billion cubic meters a year. Deliveries are planned to be carried out through the Altai pipeline.
