Sale of the companies' assets may raise about US$5 billion.
Ukraine's First Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Pavlo Kukhta says the total book value of 961 state-owned enterprises, which former Ukrainian Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk's Cabinet transferred to the State Property Fund for sale, exceeds US$3 billion.
"We've transferred ten times more enterprises to the State Property Fund for the privatization [campaign] than in 2008-2018 [some 93 facilities]," he said at a press conference on March 5.

According to Kukhta, the sale of said companies may raise about US$5 billion.
Today, wage arrears at the enterprises subject to the privatization campaign total UAH 287.36 million (US$11.5 million).
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine plans to raise UAH 12 billion (US$482 million) for the national budget in 2020 as a result of privatization.
