NBU's net foreign reserves rise to $17.3 bln

Since year-start, net reserves have grown 9.7%.

Net international reserves of the National Bank of Ukraine in February grew by 3%, up to US$17.3 billion.

That's according to the NBU website.

Since the beginning of the year, net reserves increased by 9.7%.

Earlier on Thursday, NBU Governor Yakiv Smolii said the National Bank of Ukraine saw no grounds for default on Ukraine's obligations.

UNIAN memo. Ukraine's foreign reserves as of March 1, 2020, amounted to $26.6 billion, which is 1.3% higher than a month earlier.

Net foreign reserves represent the difference between gross reserves and the outstanding balance of the NBU and the Ministry of Finance for loans to the International Monetary Fund.
