The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 29.52 per euro.
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on March 16 set the official forex rate for Tuesday, March 17, at UAH 26.52 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency weaken by 43 kopiykas.
The hryvnia slumped after it had lost 23 kopiykas in value against U.S. dollar on Monday, according to the NBU website.
The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 29.52 per euro – the hryvnia lost 53 kopiykas in value since Monday.
Trade on Ukraine's interbank forex market at 15:00 on March 16, closed at UAH 26.60/26.64 per U.S. dollar, which was 42 kopiykas lower than on the previous day.
The U.S. dollar strengthened against the hryvnia to UAH 27.15, in Kyiv's currency exchange booths on the evening of Monday, March 16, after it was sold at UAH 26.90 in the first half of the day.
