Ukraine sees agricultural output grow 0.1% in Jan-Feb

Agricultural output in Ukraine in January-February 2020 rose by 0.1% year-over-year (y-o-y).

In particular, agricultural enterprises increased production by 2.6% over the period under review, while private farmers saw their output shrink by 3.4%, according to the Ukrainian State Statistics Service.

The highest increase in agricultural output within the two months was recorded in Vinnytsia (up 12.3%), Donetsk (up 9.7%) and Kirovohrad (up 3.5%) regions.

The report does not include information from temporarily occupied areas in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, and certain areas in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, the agency said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's agricultural production grew by 1.1% in 2019 against 2018. In particular, agricultural enterprises boosted production by 3.3%, while private farmers slashed their output by 2%.
