International rating agency Fitch predicts a drop of the Ukrainian economy of 9% in 2015, in line with the forecasts of the country’s key creditors - the International Monetary Fund and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
The economic decline is to be accompanied by the devaluation of the hryvnia - up to 97% as compared to 2014, as well as significant inflation, according to the agency.
"The economic recession will take place against the backdrop of the unresolved conflict in the east of the country, which will also remain a significant factor of economic problems," the agency said in its statement.
