Ukraine's economic growth slowed to 3.2% in 2019 from 3.4% in 2018, which was the highest indicator in the past seven years.

The country's nominal GDP amounted to UAH 3.975 trillion, or US$142.99 billion, while GDP per person was UAH 94,570, or US$3,402, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine said on its website.

The Ukrainian economy grew by 2.9% in the first quarter (Q1) of 2019, by 4.7% in Q2, 3.9% in Q3, and 1.5% in Q4.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the International Monetary Fund projected the growth of the Ukrainian economy in 2019 by 3%, the World Bank by 2.7%, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development by 3.3%.

The country's national budget for 2019 was based on the Ukrainian government's forecast of real GDP growth set at 3%.
