The national operator of Ukraine's crude oil transport system, state-run Ukrtransnafta, has started handling a third transit shipment of 90,000 tonnes of Azeri Light-grade crude oil delivered by a tanker to the Pivdenniy terminal with further transportation to Belarus via the Odesa-Brody pipeline and one of the two trunk lines of the Druzhba (Friendship) pipeline.
"Unloading of Azeri Light-grade oil in the amount of 90,000 tonnes is under way for its further transportation via the Odesa-Brody oil pipeline and one of the two branches of the Druzhba trunk oil pipelines to the Mozyr Oil Refinery along the Pivdenniy - Brody - Mozyr oil pipeline," the company said in a statement on March 24.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrtransnafta had handled two tankers with crude oil at the Yuzhny offshore oil terminal to supply it to a Belarusian-based oil refinery.

Oil transportation services are provided to Belarus under an agreement signed between Ukrtransnafta and BNK (UK) Limited (Great Britain), which is a subsidiary of the Belarusian Oil Company.
The agreement is valid until the end of 2020 and provides for cooperation between the parties to transmit oil using the Odesa-Brody oil pipeline and one of the two trunk lines of the Druzhba pipeline to Belarus-based Mozyr Oil Refinery.
UNIAN memo. Ukrtransnafta operates Ukraine's crude oil transport system. It manages 18 oil pipelines that are 4,569 km long. It also operates 51 oil pumping stations and 11 crude storage facilities whose total capacity is 1.01 million cubic meters. Some 176 pumping units with the capacity of electric motors being 357 GW ensure the operation of the oil pumping stations.
