Ukraine's Cabinet approves report on fulfilment of 2019 budget

The document is yet to be considered by President Zelensky, the Verkhovna Rada, and the Accounting Chamber.

Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers has approved a report on the implementation of the law on the national budget of Ukraine for 2019.

The government adopted the relevant draft resolution without debates at a meeting on Wednesday, March 25.

The explanatory note to the document says that it should be forwarded to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's parliament), and the Accounting Chamber for consideration.

As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the State Treasury, the 2019 national budget was not fulfilled, as the budget's general and special funds received UAH 998.3 billion (US$35.9 billion) in revenue, which accounted for 96.3% of the annual planned revenue.

The deficit of Ukraine's national budget in 2019 totaled almost UAH 81 billion (US$2.9 billion) against a projected figure set at UAH 91.1 billion (US$3.3 billion).
