Ukraine's hryvnia strengthens to UAH 28.06 to U.S. dollar on March 31

The official forex rate against the euro for Tuesday is fixed at UAH 30.96 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on March 30 set the official forex rate for March 31 at UAH 28.06 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by 12 kopiykas.

The Central Bank fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for March 31:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,806.15 (UAH 2,818.3 as of March 30);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 3,096.17 (UAH 3,090.27 as of March 30).

On Monday, the forex rate of the U.S. dollar set by Kyiv's currency exchange booths was UAH 28.55, while that of the euro was UAH 30.50.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank conducted the second transaction to exchange cash dollars for cashless ones, transferring to banks US$180 million, or the entire proposed amount.

This week, the central bank is planning another cash dollar exchange transaction.

Last week, the NBU sold US$130 million in cash to banks.
