Ukraine's hryvnia weakens to UAH 27.75 to U.S. dollar on April 2

The official forex rate against the euro for Thursday is fixed at UAH 30.32 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on April 1 set the official forex rate for April 2 at UAH 27.75 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency weaken by 12 kopiykas.

The Central Bank fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for April 2:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,775.38 (UAH 2,762.89 as of April 1);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 3,032.38 (UAH 3,025.64 as of April 1).

On Wednesday, the forex rate of the U.S. dollar set by Kyiv's currency exchange booths was UAH 28.00, while that of the euro was UAH 30.80.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank conducted the second transaction to exchange cash dollars for cashless ones, transferring to banks US$180 million, or the entire proposed amount.

This week, the central bank is planning another cash dollar exchange transaction.

Last week, the NBU sold US$130 million in cash to banks.
