Ukraine's official hryvnia continues strengthening, set at UAH 27.37 to U.S. dollar on April 6

The official forex rate against the euro for Monday is fixed at UAH 29.56 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has set the official forex rate for April 6 at UAH 27.37 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency strengthen by 22 kopiykas.

The hryvnia became stronger after it had gained 15 kopiykas in value against U.S. dollar on Friday, April 3, according to the NBU website.

The official forex rate against the euro for Monday is fixed at UAH 29.56 per euro – the hryvnia gained 52 kopiykas in value since Friday.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank on April 2 conducted the third transaction to exchange cash dollars for cashless ones, transferring US$241.5 million to banks. The NBU funneled US$180 million in cash into banks on March 30 and US$130 million in the previous week.

Since the middle of March, a number of Ukrainian banks have suspended sales of cash currency due to its shortage caused by delivery problems amid limited international flights.
