Ukraine's grain and oilseed crops in 2020 may reach 95 million tonnes, APK-Inform Consultancy says citing an analyst Andriy Kupchenko.
"As for the forecasts for the future harvest, they are quite optimistic. First estimates give us a figure of 95 million tonnes of the total production of grain and oilseeds. That's including 72.2 million tonnes of grain and 22.8 million tonnes of oilseeds," Kupchenko is quoted as saying.
According to the expert, grain's export potential for the next marketing season (July 2020 - June 2021) is estimated at 52.3 million tonnes. At the same time, deliveries of the key product in the oilseed segment – sunflower oil – could reach 6 million tonnes.

According to UNIAN, the Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture said Ukraine's harvest in 2019 amounted to a record 75 million tonnes, of which 54 million tonnes will be exported to foreign markets in the 2019-2020 marketing season (July 2019 - June 2020).
Sunflower crops in 2019 reached 14.6 million tonnes, while rapeseed stood at 3.3 million tonnes.
