Ukraine repays US$409 mln to IMF in March

In general, over the month $1.1 billion was allocated for servicing and paying off public debt in foreign currency.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) says the country in March repaid US$409 million to meet the government's and the NBU's commitments to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

The regulator also made repayments worth US$536.7 million on government foreign loan bonds, according to the NBU's website.

In total, the central bank in March allocated US$1.124 billion for servicing and repaying public and government-guaranteed debt in foreign currency.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's international reserves as of April 1 totaled US$24.924 billion, which was 7.8% down from the figure reported as of March 1, that is, the reserves dropped to the level registered at the beginning of the year.
