According to our estimates, consumer prices' growth rate this year will remain in an unambiguous corridor," the regulator reported on its Facebook page following a meeting of the NBU Board with members of the Union of Ukrainian Entrepreneurs.

According to preliminary estimates by the NBU, inflation in March remained at a low level, and after a short jump in prices for a number of goods amid coronavirus hype and in the first days of quarantine measures, this growth slowed down.

As UNIAN reported earlier, consumer inflation in Ukraine in February 2020 amounted to 2.4% in annual terms, slowing down from 3.2% in January.

The National Bank of Ukraine in January lowered its forecast for consumer price growth in Ukraine in 2020 to 4.8% from 5% projected earlier.
