Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers will impose a special duty at 65% on imports of coal, except anthracite and coking coal, from Russia on April 1, 2020.

That is according to the Cabinet's resolution of March 18 published on the government portal.

The document also stipulates certain exceptions. In particular, this refers to A-grade coal (anthracite), bituminous and coking coals for the steelmaking industry, as well as lean coal for producers of electric and thermal energy.

No special duty on electricity imports, which was earlier announced at a government meeting, has been placed, according to the resolution.
