Ukraine's gas stocks in underground facilities grew by 4.5% in 10 days / Photo from UNIAN
The volume of gas in Ukrainian underground storage facilities increased by 4.5%, or 510 million cubic meters, to 11.92 billion cubic meters (bcm) between June 20 and June 30, according to the Ukrainian gas transport system operator Ukrtransgaz.
A total of 1.720 bcm of gas was pumped into Ukrainian gas storage facilities during June 1-29, the company reported.
About 55 million cubic meters of gas is being pumped daily into gas storages.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine in 2015 plans to pump 13.879 bcm of gas into underground storage facilities to meet the needs of the 2015-2016 heating season and ensure smooth transit supplies of Russian gas to EU member states.
Gas withdrawal from underground storage facilities in 2015 is planned at 8.688 bcm.
