Utility fees rise in Crimea from July 1

Several utility fees for local residents have risen in Russia-occupied Crimea starting July 1.

The changes in tariffs regard payments for gas, electric power and water, according to the Crimea Reality online media project.

State Committee on prices and tariffs of the occupation government of the Ukrainian peninsula has earlier stated that the gas fees will rise by 10%, while the price of water and power will get higher by 15%.

For example, the retail price of gas for the households, provided the annual consumption is less than 6,000 cubic meters, will now amount to RUR 3,225 per 1,000 cubic meters. The final gas price for the households with an annual consumption of over 6,000 cubic meters is to remain at the previously set level, that is RUR 8,267 per 1,000 cubic meters.

It was earlier reported that the overall utility fees had grown by 8-17% since January 1, 2015.
