Ukraine's hryvnia weakens to UAH 27.22 to U.S. dollar on April 16

The official forex rate against the euro for Thursday is fixed at UAH 29.64 per euro.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on April 15 set the official forex rate for April 16 at UAH 27.22 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency weaken by 13 kopiykas.

The Central Bank fixed the following official forex rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for April 16:

US$100 will be quoted at UAH 2,722.19 (UAH 2,708.99 as of April 15);

EUR 100 will be quoted at UAH 2,963.51 (UAH 2,970.81 as of April 15).

By 16:00 Kyiv time on April 15, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market settled at UAH 27.26/27.29 to the dollar, while those against the euro were at UAH 29.60/29.63.

On Wednesday morning, the forex rate of the U.S. dollar set by Kyiv's currency exchange booths was UAH 27.50, while that of the euro was UAH 30.00.

The National Bank set the official forex rate for Wednesday, April 15, at UAH 27.09 to the U.S. dollar, which let the country's national currency weaken by five kopiykas. That is, the hryvnia lost in value after strengthening for two consecutive days.
