Ukraine has already exported more than one million tonnes of grain

Ukrainian agrarians have already exported 1.1 million tonnes of grain since the beginning of the current marketing year (July 2015 - June 2016) as of July 17, according to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.

According to the ministry, the volume of wheat exports amounted to 289,000 tonnes, maize - 620 tonnes, barley - 187 tonnes, other grains – 2,000 tonnes.

According to the report, the price of third class milling wheat is UAH 3,184 per tonne, feed wheat – UAH 3,012 per tonne. The average price per tonne of barley is UAH 3,071, while a tonne of corn is sold for UAH 2,967.

Another 190,000 tonnes has been loaded on cargo ships.

As UNIAN reported earlier, according to data released by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Ukraine has exported 34.8 million tonnes of grain in a marketing year (MY) 2014-2015, which is an absolute country’s record, 1.6 million tonnes more than the previous year. In particular, wheat exports totaled 11.2 million tonnes, maize - 18.8 million tonnes, barley - 4.5 million tonnes, other grains - 0.3 million tonnes.

According to the State Statistics Service, Ukraine harvested 63.8 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops in 2014 (excluding the territory of Crimea, temporarily occupied by Russia), which is 2.4% more than in 2013 and a sets a record for the whole period of the country's independence.
