Ukroboronprom continues management reshuffle at controlled plants

State-run defense industry conglomerate Ukroboronprom has announced the results of a public competition to hire directors of state-owned enterprises – Kharkiv Special Machine Plant, Scientific and Technical Complex Precision Mechanics Plant and Rivne Automobile Repair Plant.

Oleksiy Horobets was appointed director of Kharkiv Special Machine Plant, Myroslav Khalyk will be director of Scientific and Technical Complex Precision Mechanics Plant, and Oleh Horbachevsky will work as director of Rivne Automobile Repair Plant, Ukroboronprom's press service said.

No additional information about the newly appointed directors has been provided.

The press service also noted that the contest commission had decided to hold a repeat competition to hire director general of Ukrainian Cargo Airways.

As UNIAN reported earlier, since the beginning of 2015, Ukroboronprom has announced more than 60 contests to select directors of enterprises belonging to the conglomerate.

In June this year, Ukroboronprom dismissed heads of two largest state-owned enterprises of the military-industrial sector – Kharkiv Transport Engineering Plant named after V.A. Malyshev and Lviv Armor Tank Plant –  for the failure to fulfill plans for the production of military equipment for the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Donbas.

On July 16, Ukroboronprom appointed new directors of state-owned enterprises – Mykolaiv Aircraft Repair Plant, state foreign trade and investment enterprise Promoboronexport and Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau. On July 23, new directors were appointed at Kyiv Armor Tank Repair Plant, Zhytomyr Armor Tank Plant and Kharkiv Automobile Repair Plant.

State-run conglomerate Ukroboronprom was established in 2010 to ensure effective operations and management of state-owned business entities that develop, manufacture, sell, repair, modernize and scrap weapons, military and special equipment and ammunition, and participate in the military-technical cooperation.
