The SBU Security Service of Ukraine has prevented the management of Danylo Halytskyi International Airport Lviv from misappropriating state funds, the SBU press service reported.
According to the report, the state enterprise has purchased 350.000 liters of fuel worth a total of UAH 5.84 million based on the tender results.
Later, the officials of the airport made amendments to the contract, contrary to requirements of the current legislation. After those changes, the contract value increased, while the volume of purchased fuel was reduced.
The SBU investigators have initiated criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Article 191 (misappropriation, embezzlement or conversion of property by malversation) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
Investigation is under way.
