This strategy will provide for changes in the regulatory framework and strategic planning of trade relations with individual countries and regions of the world.

Western NIS Enterprise Fund (WNISEF) will be involved in the development of the strategy under the program titled "Ukraine: Leadership, Export promotion, Attracting investment and Development program" (ULEAD), according to the report.

"For the first time in Ukraine's independence, the government will have a sound export strategy and as a result, Ukraine will get a clear action plan for the next five years. We are grateful to the Fund for responding to our request and providing assistance to the Government of Ukraine in developing and implementing forward-looking, export-promoting policies," the ministry's press service quoted Ukraine's Trade Representative Nataliya Mykolska as saying.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Economy Ministry plans to set up 20 trade representative offices by the end of 2016 in the countries that can be conducive to boosting Ukrainian exports and trade in general.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced that Ukrainian trade missions should operate in the world's major economies and key markets, namely, the U.S., Germany, China, and the Middle East.

WNISEF is a $150 million regional private equity fund, a pioneer in Ukraine and Moldova with more than two decades of successful experience investing in small- and medium-sized companies.
