The World Bank may provide Ukraine with $500 million for the purchase of natural gas for the heating season 2015-2016, as well as for guaranteeing uninterrupted transit of Russian gas to the EU, Energy Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said at a press conference in Kyiv on Monday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
"The World Bank is talking about $500 million," he said.
"We are also negotiating with the EBRD and IFC," Demchyshyn said.
As UNIAN reported ealier, Ukraine intends to sign gas contrast with Russia's Gazprom to secure the 2015-2016 heating season.
