"It is also necessary to assess by September 1 the information from Ukrenergo on the daily profiles of power network load and consider the issue on shifting power-consuming companies to operations in off-peak periods in the united energy grid," reads resolution No.809 of the Cabinet of Ministers  published on the government website.

In addition, the Cabinet of Ministers has instructed to complete the construction of 750 kW overhead transmission lines in the direction of Rivnenska NPP - Kyivska and Zaporizhzhya NPPs - Kakhovska NPP during the heating period, and consider the possibility of carrying out as early as November 1 emergency restoration of the lines at Vuhlehirska thermal power plant (TPP) - Mykhailivka, Luhanska TPP - Yuvileine, Luhanska TPP - Mykhailivka, and others.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Cabinet has set the deadline by October 1 for the Ukrainian Energy Ministry to create coal inventories in the volume above 3.2 million tonnes, as well as to calculate the necessary supplies of fuel oil as a backup fuel for TPPs and district heating utility companies. In addition, the Ukrainian government ordered NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine to pump not less than 17 bcmof gas into the underground gas storage facilities by November 1, to ensure the necessary supplies during the 2015-2016 heating season.

UNIAN memo. Burshtyn TPP is one of Ukraine's largest thermal power plants. The plant has 12 coal-fired power units with total installed capacity of 2,300 MW (eight 195MW units and four 185MW units). The actual capacity of the plant is 1,750 MW. The station is located at the intersection of power lines, which connect Ukraine with the energy systems of Hungary, Slovakia and Romania. The units are operated by DTEK Zakhidenergo, which is part of the largest private energy holding in Ukraine – DTEK. It is part of the financial and industrial group System Capital Management owned by Ukrainian oligarch Rinat Akhmetov.
