The National Bank of Ukraine on Monday evening lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by 26 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 22.01 to the dollar.
On August 18 the central bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies:
$100 – UAH 2,201.8809 (on August 17 it was UAH 2,175.7665);
EUR 100 – UAH 2,444.0878 (on August 17 it was UAH 2,430.5488);
10 RUR – UAH 3.3615 (on August 17 it was UAH 3.3506).
As UNIAN reported earlier, on August 17, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade fell to UAH 22.15/22.35 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro have settled at UAH 24.5500/24.7700, while those against the Russian ruble have settled at UAH 0.3380/0.3410.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 22.0188 to the dollar, with 493 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $341.26 million.
