The average size of a welfare assistance amounted to UAH 1,270 in July / Photo UNIAN
In absolute figures, the unemployment rate amounted to 427,500 against 444,000 in June, according to the State Statistics Service.
The unemployment rate in Ukraine dropped slightly in July compared to June – down to 1.6%, according to the State Statistics Service, at the same time welfare assistance was provided to 341,200 citizens. The average size of such assistance in July was UAH 1,270, which is UAH 49 more than in June.
The average load per vacancy amounted to 10 people.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the unemployment rate across Ukraine also saw a slight fall in June - to 1.7% from 1.8% a month earlier.
According to previously released forecasts of the International Labor Organization and the International Monetary Fund, the unemployment rate in Ukraine is expected to rise to 11.5% before the end of the year.
According to the Fund of Compulsory State Unemployment Insurance, the number of Ukrainians without full-time employment or whose unemployment is hidden from the stats totals nearly 5 million.
