A company owned by a German businessman wants to buy a Ukrainian oil pipeline / Wikipedia
International Trading Partners AG is interested in acquiring a 100% stake in Ukrainian oil pipeline from Russian Transneft.
"Yugo-Zapad Transnefteproduct JSC belongs to a Russian company Transneft," reads the statement by Russia's Anti-monopoly authorities who received a petition from International Trading Partners AG regarding acquisition of 100% of shares of Yugo-Zapad Transnefteproduct Joint-Stock Company, operator of the oil pipeline passing through the Ukrainian territory. The ownership of which is being disputed by Ukrainian prosecutors in courts, according to the statement.
Russian antimonopoly authorities say that International Trading Partners AG is incorporated under the laws of the Swiss Confederation and controlled by a German citizen Anatoli Schaefer.
As UNIAN reported earlier, at the end of last year Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office established that parts of the oil pipelines with a total length of 1,433 km that pass through Ukrainian territory had been illegally registered as property of Prykarpatzapadtrans, a subsidiary of the Russian joint-stock company Transnefteprodukt, which is controlled by Transneft.
In compliance with the lawsuit of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine, the court of first instance reclaimed the ownership of the assets from the mentioned company, transferring them the State Property Fund of Ukraine.
However, Rivne Economic Court of Appeal overturned this judgment under the appeal of the respondent and dismissed the case. In this regard, Rivne region prosecutor's office submitted an appeal that was satisfied by the Higher Economic Court of Ukraine, and the case was referred for reconsideration by the court of appeal.
On November 25, 2014, Rivne Economic Court of Appeal confirmed the legality of the ruling of the court of first instance on granting the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office and recognizing state property rights on part of the oil pipelines.
