The National Bank of Ukraine on Friday evening lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by six kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 22.09 to the dollar.
For August 25, the central bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies:
$100 – UAH 2,209.5544 (on August 21, it was UAH 2,203.0769);
EUR 100 – UAH 2,492.5983 (on August 21, it was UAH 2,463.7009);
10 RUR – UAH 3.2435 (on August 21, it was UAH 3.2901).
As UNIAN reported earlier, on Friday, August 21, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade strengthened to UAH 22.14/22.24 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro have settled at UAH 24.9916/25.1000, while those against the Russian ruble have settled at UAH 0.3233/0.3248.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 16:00 was UAH 22.0955 to the dollar, with 550 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $340.24 million.
