After three weeks of importing electricity from Russia due to an abnormal heat wave, Ukraine has suspended such purchases from Russia starting August 24, according to "Ukrenergo".
"Imports of electricity from Russia at 21:00 on August 24 amounted was at zero MW (target volume is 50 MW)," reads the company’s Tuesday statement.
This "Ukrenergo" does not inform about the future plans of electricity supplies from Russia.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine resumed the import of electricity from Russia in early August, after a two-month break.
Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn noted that importing electricity from Russia is cheaper than own generation.
