The deficit of the national budget in July alone shrank to UAH 200 million from UAH 7.7 billion in June, which was the result of both increasing revenues and a reduction in spending in monetary terms, the regulator said.

The NBU said that the revenue of the national budget January through July 2015 grew by 44.6% year-over-year due to an increase in tax collection and receipts not related to taxes. The budget's revenues in July 2015 from July 2014 increased by 86.9%.

The outlays of the national budget in January-July 2015 rose by 25.5% year-over-year, to UAH 289.4 billion. Spending in July 2015 from July 2014 grew by 32.3%.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's national budget in the first half of 2015 saw a UAH 2.1 billion in deficit, while there was a surplus of UAH 5.61 billion in January-May 2015.
