The National Bank of Ukraine on Monday evening lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by 62 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 21.80 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for September 1:
$100 – UAH 2,180.5419 (on August 31, it was UAH 2,118.5441);
EUR 100 – UAH 2,445.4777 (on August 31, it was UAH 2,387.1755);
10 RUB – UAH 3.2684 (on August 31, it was UAH 3.1868).
As UNIAN reported earlier, on Monday, August 31, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade fell to UAH 21.80/22.20 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro have settled at UAH 24.4770/24.9210, while those against the Russian ruble have settled at UAH 0.3230/0.3300.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 21.8054 to the dollar, with 567 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $347.56 million.
