Gazprom signs Nord Stream-2 agreement

Gazprom signed an agreement of shareholders of the joint project company on Friday, September 4, on construction of the Nord Stream-2 pipeline, RIA Novosti reported with reference to a top manager of one of the signatories.

"We signed a shareholders' agreement," said, Yelena Burmistrova, head of Gazprom export, confirming the news.

Burmistrova named Shell, OMV and E.On among other signatories.

In June of this year, Gazprom, E.On, Shell and OMV signed a memorandum of understanding providing for the joint construction of two lines of Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline with annual capacity of 55 billion cubic meters of gas from the coast of Russia through the Baltic Sea to the German coast.
