Petition on lifting customs clearance of imported cars gains 27,000 votes

A petition to the President calling to consider abolishing customs clearance and excise duty on imported cars has gained 27,012 votes as of September 7 and is now posted on the presidential website, according to the Ukrainian online newspaper Ukrainska Pravda.

Meanwhile, a petition to appoint Odesa Governor Mikheil Saakashvili as Prime Minister of Ukraine is also close to the required level.

In turn, a petition on legalizing possession of firearms gained 25,000 signatures and was submitted to the Presidential Administration.

The Presidential Administration says Poroshenko will respond within 10 working days.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed a decree that approved the procedure for the consideration of e-petitions, addressed to the President of Ukraine, and launched the website for signing such petitions.
