Jaresko: EU and U.S. assistance sufficient for economic stabilization, not for development

The financial assistance provided to Ukraine by the European Union and the United States helps stabilize economic situation in the country, but it is not sufficient for development of the real economy of Ukraine, Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko said at the 12th YES Annual Meeting in Kyiv, an UNIAN correspondent reported.

In addition to the bailout program for Ukraine approved by the International Monetary Fund, Ukraine needs loans of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Investment Bank, Export-Import Bank and other international financial institutions, the minister said when answering a question on the adequacy of financial support provided by the EU and the U.S. for Ukraine's efforts to address its major economic challenges.
