Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko says that a low interest rate loan worth $500 million from the World Bank will help Ukraine balance its state budget and ensure additional funding for the country's priority needs.
"This loan is another important step towards stabilising our country's finances and economic recovery. It will help us return to economic growth, improving employment and increasing the social standards for our citizens. This low interest rate loan will help us balance our state budget and ensure additional funding for our country's priority needs," Jaresko wrote on Facebook.
According to the minister, healthy public finance is a guarantee of strong economy and citizens' trust.

On Wednesday, September 16, Jaresko and Qimiao Fan, the World Bank's Country Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova, Europe and Central Asia, signed an agreement on a loan of $500 million to benefit Ukraine's financial sector, part of the Second Programme Loan.
