Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a resolution on the price of Russian natural gas for Ukraine, according to a posting on the Russian government's website.
Under the resolution, the gas price for Ukraine is fixed at the level of gas prices for EU countries bordering Ukraine.
It is also noted that the resolution regulates contractual relations from October 1, 2015 until December 31, 2015.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Kyiv expects to strike a deal with Russia on Friday, September 25, on gas supplies for this winter.
On July 1, Ukraine suspended gas deliveries from Russia after fruitless talks in Vienna and significantly reduced purchases from the EU. At this, Ukraine expects to mobilize enough funds from international financial organizations in October to secure necessary gas stocks in its underground storage facilities for the coming heating season.
