The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) projects an 11.5% GDP decline amid 44-45% inflation in 2015.
"We estimate Ukraine's GDP decline in 2015 at 11.5%," Deputy NBU Governor Dmytro Solohub told reporters on Thursday.
Annual inflation is expected at 44-45%, he said.
Such indicators mirrored imbalance of the economy in the first half, but since the third quarter, the economic situation has improved and inflation has been going down steadily.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's GDP decline in the second quarter of 2015 slowed to 14.6% year-over-year, after a 17.2% drop in the first quarter of 2015.
The Cabinet of Ministers has developed three economic development scenarios for 2015 with the GDP decline being between 5.5% and 11.9%.
The International Monetary Fund, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the World Bank forecast that Ukraine will see its GDP decline by 9% in 2015.
