Ukraine plans to earn UAH 2.4 billion from the sale of 47 insolvent banks' assets by the year's end / Photo from UNIAN
The Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund in Ukraine plans to put assets of 13 bankrupt banks up for sale this week.
The assets are worth UAH 897.46 million, the Fund said.
Last week, the Fund sold 11 insolvent banks' property to the tune of over UAH 36.27 million.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Fund plans to earn UAH 2.4 billion from the sale of 47 insolvent banks' assets by the end of the current year.
A third of assets owned by insolvent banks managed by the Fund was put up as collateral for refinancing loans issued by the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) to the banks.
In 2014 and the past months of 2015, the NBU designated 59 banks as insolvent ones, which are now being withdrawn by the Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund from the market.
