The National Bank of Ukraine on Wednesday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by 23 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 21.29 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for October 1:
$100 costs UAH 2,129.5636 (on September 30, it was UAH 2,152.7544);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,385.7501 (on September 30, it was UAH 2,411.9460);
10 RUB costs UAH 3.2396 (on September 30, it was UAH 3.2501).
As UNIAN reported earlier, on Wednesday, September 30, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade strengthened to UAH 21.15/21.25 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro have settled at UAH 23.6490/23.7590, while those against the Russian ruble have settled at UAH 0.3220/0.3240.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 21.2956 to the dollar, with 665 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $525.95 million.
