The National Bank of Ukraine on Thursday evening strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by 14 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 21.15 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for October 2:
$100 costs UAH 2,115.3307 (on October 1, it was UAH 2,129.5636);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,359.2283 (on October 1, it was UAH 2,385.7501);
10 RUB costs UAH 3.2527 (on October 1, it was UAH 3.2396).
As UNIAN reported earlier, on Thursday, October 1, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade strengthened to UAH 21.00/21.10 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro have settled at UAH 23.4820/23.5920, while those against the Russian ruble have settled at UAH 0.3210/0.3230.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 21.1533 to the dollar, with 646 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $472.5 million.
