The National Bank of Ukraine on Tuesday evening lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by five kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 22.41 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for October 7:
$100 costs UAH 2,126.4049 (on October 6, it was UAH 2,121.5640);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,386.6769 (on October 6, it was UAH 2,383.7893);
10 RUB costs UAH 3.2666 (on October 6, it was UAH 3.2329).
As UNIAN reported earlier, on Tuesday, October 6, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 21.25/21.32 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 23.8400/23.9160, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.3320/0.3340.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 21.2640 to the dollar, with 607 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $480.05 million.
