Gas imports from Hungary resume after month break

Ukraine has resumed imports of natural gas from Hungary after a month's break, as reported by Ukrtransgaz, state-owned operator of Ukraine’s gas transportation system.

"The supply of natural gas from in this direction was resumed on October 3," reads the company’s statement.

In the first week of October, Ukraine imported 2.5 million cubic meters of gas from Hungary, according to the report.

As noted in Ukrtransgaz, daily volume of gass supplies amounts to 0.5 million cubic meters, with the technical capacity of 16 million cubic meters.

FGSZ, Hungary’s operator of the country’s gas transportation system has not reported on the volumes of supplies to Ukraine.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine had not imported natural gas from Hungary in September, giving priority to the deliveries from Slovakia.
