Ukraine's monetary base shrinks by 2.3% in September

Ukraine's monetary base shrank by 2.3% in September 2015 to UAH 321.2 billion, while monetary stock grew by 1.7%, to UAH 964.7 billion, according to the National Bank of Ukraine.

Since the beginning of 2015, monetary base has shrunk by 3.6%, while monetary stock has expanded by 0.8%.

The NBU also said that the amount of out-of-bank cash fell by 1.9% in September 2015. It has decreased by 4.2% since the beginning of the year, to UAH 271.1 billion.

As UNIAN reported earlier, monetary base in Ukraine in August 2015 decreased by 1.1%, to UAH 328.8 billion, while monetary stock fell by 2.1%, to UAH 948.2 billion.

In 2014, Ukraine saw a 4.9% increase in monetary stock to UAH 953.846 billion, while monetary base expanded by 8.5%, to UAH 333.194 billion.
