Poroshenko's former Crimean plant to be integrated into Russian United Shipbuilding Corporation

JSC "Sevastopol Marine Plant," which formerly belonged to Petro Poroshenko, has become a branch of Russia's OSJC Ship Repairing Center Zvezdochka under the lease contract for 49 years, with an approved roadmap of integration of the plant into the structure of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), the USC's press service said on Friday.

"On October 13, a branch of the OSJC Ship Repairing Center Zvezdochka signed a an agreement on the lease of basic facilities of JSC Sevastopol Marine Plant for 49 years. In addition, the roadmap of integration of the plant into the structure of the USC has been approved," according to a release.

Previously, JSC "Sevastopol Marine Plant" was controlled by Prime Asset Capital owned by Petro Poroshenko.

Prime Asset Capital confirmed that the self-styled Crimean authorities took away the plant, and have not purchased it, while the "leader" of the occupation authorities in Sevastopol Sergei Menyailo said last fall that President Poroshenko had put the plant out for sale.
