The decline in industrial production in Ukraine slowed to 5.1% in September, 2015 year-over-year from 5.8% recorded the previous month, according to the website of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
Industrial production increased by 5.9% in September compared to August, according to the report.
In January-September, the decline in industrial production amounted to 16.6% compared to the same period last year.
According to the State Statistics Service, the increase in industrial production in annual terms in September, 2015, yoy, was only recorded in the production of coke and refined petroleum products – by 29%, mining of coal and lignite – by 14.9%, mining of metal ores – 4.7%, metallurgy – 3%, manufacture of motor vehicles – by 1.3%.
September’s largest increase compared to the previous month was recorded in the production of eclectic equipment – by 20%, production of food products – by 19%, mining of coal and lignite – by 16.2%, and manufacture of furniture and other products – by 15.8% .

September’s biggest drop compared with the previous month was recorded in manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products – by 34.1%, supplies of electricity, gas and steam – by 4.2%, mining of metal ores – by 3.8%.
The report noted that these data exclude the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as the zone of the Anti-Terrorist Operation in the Ukrainian east.

In 2014, in comparison with 2013, industrial production in Ukraine decreased by 10.7%, in 2013 – by 4.7%, in 2012 – by 0.5%.
