Ukroboronprom says Ukraine's defense production grows by 200-300% annually

"Ukraine's defense industry in 2014 alone saw a 200-300% increase in production capacity. In 2015, our production capacity will grow by the same percentage," he told a Ukrainian TV channel.

"This means that the military-industrial complex's production capacity has started to exceed the capability of the budget to buy that equipment for the Defense Ministry," he said.

Ukroboronprom early in March 2015 was granted access to NATO's Master Catalogue of References for Logistics. The Concern's managers hope this will help the Ukrainian defense industry's enterprises enter the European arms market. In April 2015, Ukroboronprom announced plans for the Ukrainian defense industry to adapt NATO standards in arms production within three years.
