The National Bank of Ukraine on Friday evening lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by 29 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 22.57 to the dollar.
The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against leading foreign currencies for October 26:
$100 costs UAH 2,257.4677 (on October 23, it was UAH 2,228.0585);
EUR 100 costs UAH 2,502.1772 (on October 23, it was UAH 2,520.6026);
10 RUB costs UAH 3.6453 (on October 23, it was UAH 3.5485).
As UNIAN reported earlier, on Friday, October 23, hryvnia quotations against the dollar on the interbank currency market by the close of trade settled at UAH 22.75/23.00 to the dollar.
Hryvnia quotes against the euro settled at UAH 25.1250/25.3990, while those against the Russian ruble settled at UAH 0.3660/0.3710.
According to the National Bank of Ukraine, the weighted average exchange rate of the hryvnia as of 17:00 was UAH 22.5747 to the dollar, with 580 deals concluded by this time worth a total of $445.33 million.
