The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviation) has revoked operator certificate of Transaero airlines effective from October 26, therefore the carrier has stopped carrying out flights on Monday, at 00:01 Moscow time, RIA Novosti reported.
It is reported that Transaero will perform its last flight to Hong Kong airport at 21:05 MSK on Boeing 767.
Transaero is said to have been unable to service its debt that stands at RUB 250 billion (over $4 billion) including the lease obligations. The company stopped selling air tickets, and its passengers were resettled with Aeroflot Group, as well as with the other carriers.
